We are pleased to be supporting the continued development of Southside Farm in Hereford, working alongside Growing Local as Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyors for the latest phase of the project.
Growing Local is an inspiring community-led initiative focused on sustainable food production, education and wellbeing. The wider Southside Farm development brings together organic market gardens, community growing spaces, educational facilities and future cookery and teaching spaces, all designed to help reconnect people with where their food comes from while promoting healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.
This latest phase of works includes the delivery of a new cooking studio building designed to a Passive House-style ethos, alongside associated infrastructure works including new services and drainage across the site.
Although the new building itself will become an important facility for the project, a key part of this phase is the wider infrastructure delivery. The current site has no existing power or water infrastructure, meaning these enabling works will play a significant role in supporting the future growth of Southside Farm and allowing the site to accommodate a broader range of community activities, educational programmes and events moving forward.
With a project value of approximately £500,000 and completion due in November 2026, the scheme represents another positive example of sustainable, community-focused development within Herefordshire.
Projects like this reflect the type of work we increasingly support at Bespoke Construction Consultants, where successful delivery relies not only on construction expertise, but also careful coordination between consultants, contractors, stakeholders and funding requirements. Our role includes supporting procurement, cost management, contract administration and overall project coordination throughout the delivery phase, helping ensure the wider vision for the development remains achievable as the scheme progresses on site.
We look forward to continuing to support the team and seeing the next stage of Southside Farm take shape over the coming months.
